Search engine
This is not a post about Google.
I had not noticed this earlier, but DG COMP has a new search engine for antitrust, merger and State aid cases. It looks very user friendly and will be undeniably of great help to most competition law practitioners and academics. A welcome initiative.

I have to disagree. It looks friendly, nothing more. At best, just another example of “smart” IT guys getting their way regardless, at worst, an attempt to reduce transparency by stealth … once the registry is closed, it will be quite easy to hide certain information or render it harder to find.
Until now you were able to circumvent the poor search options of the EU sites using google. The new search engine may enable the Commission to lock its database.
